The artist Ida started the first Birth Of An Idea in 2009. The artwork was finished in 2010. It was made in the student studios at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London.
The piece contains approx. 450 cocoons and has a warm orange colour in the middle and grey in the background. Red-orange was also the colour Ida used when she firstly coloured silk cocoons years ago when she mixed pulverised red bricks with water.
