CAN THE FUTURE HELP THE PAST?
An artwork is not essential but the feeling of it is.
Let me take you on a trip! Let’s desert the mundane and go after the light!
On this trip let’s figure it out: Can the Future help the Past?
From South to North in Europe: from the mountains of Thrace to the Vikings land’s aurora borealis and everything in-between.
From North to South in the US: from the corn fields in lowa to the sunsets in Key West, the southernmost city, and everything in-between.
We are free to travel in time. For me it starts in childhood with the dove song under the mulberry trees in grandma’s garden.
The moment for a trip is always now.
THERE ARE TWO LIFE ROLES: ARE YOU AN ARTIST OR A MUSE?
Uprooted we can break through our own cocoons, be reborn and revealed!
The spread open cocoon captures the beauty of transformation, it represents the completed process of change and its success.
The brightness of the colors celebrates the transition from one state of being to another and honours its glorious unfoldment. The arrangement of the cocoons within the circular shape represents unity and connection. The contrast in colors creates a center point on which to focus the mind. It is within the cocoon, in isolation and in silence, that the metamorphosis happens. This is true for the human mind as well.
The open cocoon can mean also: here I am from, here I feel safe! Each cocoon symbolises an individual. Each individual draws a parallel meaning in life. Each parallel has the same value as the other.
Only with the presence of each of these equal parallel meanings and values, the artwork is complete.
